For the most part it is a wonderful school but more clubs are needed for the non sports kids! Diversity is on the uprise but still not where is should be.

This school is full of bullies, including the parents. The administration are too close to the parents and to clickie. There is drug problems and the administration just hide the problems this school have instead of actually fix is them.

All white teachers! Some doesn't know how to teach but was placed to teach AP classes which is not fair to students who want to get better knowledge and grades. Only few teachers are really teaching with hearts. Also, this school doesn't offer enough AP classes to study and 9th graders are not allowed to take any AP classes so this limited students to show their ability to study advanced or college readiness. I personally think this school district could be better but need some time. Have so much room to improve. Overall, not a bad school district though. It just needs some changes to be better.

I am graduating this une 2024. I have enjoyed my 4 years at Clarke High School. The staff and faculty were always supportive and friendly. I played sports all 4 years and I am in the National Honor Society. I always felt there was plenty of opportunities to be involved with my peers. The school is always kept clean and up to date. After COVID we all received Chromebooks to do our work. They were supplied by the district and made remote learning easy and cohesive. Don't get me wrong...it was definitely a learning curve for all of us including the teachers. However, we pulled through and we made it happen! One of the happiest memories was going back to school after being in lock down during Covid. Clarke made our welcome back a great experience and they made us all feel safe. Overall going to Clarke was a pleasurable experience. A place I will truly miss once I venture out to college. I feel well prepared wit the education I received.

W. Tresper Clarke High School isn't the best school in the district but it also isn't the worse. It is a relatively small school and it is easy to get to know everyone in your grade. Some aspects of the school, like the food and the rats, aren't exactly things that make the school good. It actually makes it worse. The teachers are great for the most part and I have learned some valuable information there. They give students a bunch of opportunities academically and guidance counselors are relatively good at supporting the students. Some rules aren't exactly helpful and only irritate both students and teachers and there are definitely more important things the administration should be focusing on other than bathroom usage. Overall, W. Tresper Clarke High School is a decent school.

W. Tresper Clarke High School was not a high school that I imagined myself to enjoy as I did. I moved from Queens, New York, with a completely different culture than Long Island. However, my peers were welcoming, as well as the teachers.

I am a current junior at clarke. I have lived in the district my whole life and my brother graduated as well. Most teachers are so helpful and the counselors are amazing! Clarke students are pushed to their best and the teachers want them to succeed. Would send my child here!

W. Tresper Clarke High School has its best features in its societal elements like diversity in the community and interaction with alumni, parents, and staff. Although not well equipped with much resources, equipment for academics and sports, and quantity of staff, the environment is somewhat friendly and peaceful for a decent educational experience. The policies could be worked on like with using ID cards to scan into using bathrooms and the lunch room, as well as not being able to go to lunch when having a free period. More outside interactions and activities during school hours could make more memories and experiences worthwhile in a student and staff’s stay at W. Tresper Clarke. This High School, compared to others in Nassau County, is slightly above average in educational rank and my personal views.

W Tresper Clarke High School has been an astounding experience so far in which I have many opportunities either academically or extracurricular. There are many AP and college classes offered that help prepare students for college, also giving us opportunities to gain college credits early and get a head start on our academic futures. The teachers are involved and engaged in students academic and personal lives, trying to help us as much as possible, not because it is their job but because they care for us. The sports are exquisite opportunities for physical health and shows an individual to work as a team and be a leader. Overall, I would say W Tresper Clarke High School is a great school for students to attend and learn abundant amounts of skills and academics.

There is a deep divide in this school based on socio-economics (i.e., families that live in the Birchwood versus the families in the Levitt homes — white collar versus blue collar). If you are academically inclined (generally, a Birchwood kid), you get lots of attention in the honors & AP classes and can go on the great schools (Ivy League and top national universities). But that is about 15% of the class. And these kids feel like an island in a sea of blue collar kids who resent the heck out of them. Is this a place you want to send your kids? And if you are different in anyway, get ready for the bullying. The school did nothing to address it when I was a student there. They just turned a blind eye and told my parents to “man up.” Imagine that.

The faculty members are not just teachers; they are mentors who foster a passion for learning and personal growth. Their dedication to cultivating critical thinking skills and fostering creativity in students is commendable. Moreover, the school's emphasis on creating a safe and inclusive environment ensures that every student feels valued and respected. One of the most impressive aspects here is its wide array of extracurricular activities. From sports teams that have secured numerous championship titles to arts programs that have produced award-winning performers and artists, there is something for every student to explore their passions and talents. The school's commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals is evident in the diverse range of clubs and organizations available.

W. Tresper Clarke High School is a great school in a great location. Long Island offers a lot of academic opportunities such as good colleges, easy access to New York City and more. Clarke is also situated directly next to BOCES Nassau which has a lot of specialized classes that are good for people going into specific majors or careers.

I loved my experience at W. Tresper Clarke High School. They have an active community where students can engage in many events that stir up a lot of school spirit. The clubs conduct volunteering opportunities and chances to make new friends.

Clarke High School is where I met some of my best friends in life. The education is good and the staff do care about the kids. However, there were instances where administration swept things under the rug and did not have the best judgement for what was right for the students. Another thing is that there needs to be better math teachers many of us had problems learning in the way those teachers taught.

I had a good time at W.T Clarke High School. I meant some of my best friends there and I had some amazing teachers that really helped me get through the last days of school while I was struggling. During my last few days at Clarke I had a hard time getting up and going to school because I simply just wasn’t a school person. I had talks with my guidance counsellor and the school therapist and talked to them about how I was feeling. They helped me in every way they can. A lot of the students at Clarke were not very nice though and the school should really start preaching more about bullying and have more assemblies about it because they truly don’t see how cruel people can be. Overall tho I had a good experience though out my 4 years and I would recommend this as a good school to anyone.

All of the Teachers are very nice. Students will accomplish a lot of things at Clarke. Clarke prepares students like getting ready for college or getting a job. There are so many activities like extra help meaning if a student needs help with homework. Clarke has a book club, a dog rescue club, and environmental club. Clarke has National Honor Societies. At Clarke there is after school sports like, Soccer, Football, Cheerleading, Golf, Swimming, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Wrestling, Bowling, Basketball, Tennis, Track and Field, Baseball, Lacrosse, and Softball.

It’s a nice school, academics wise it’s pretty strong I’d say we offer a good number of APs classes and other challenging college courses. I’d say we’re not the richest school, but we make up for it in our academic and other things.

My time at W.T. Clarke has been enjoyable for the most part. The most of the staff is friendly and tries to connect to the students. There are many resources given to the students. Such as volunteer service, tutoring, and mental health aid. There are many events that are fun for the students and are very interactive. Some issues with the school however, is the rodent problem. There are many mice that run around the school and it can be a cause of concern. There are also some teachers that are not that well suited for the students. Overall though, I think it is a good school and have enjoyed my time there so far.
