This is my fourth baby and I've experienced my water breaking in each labor around 4/5 centimeters. It normally leaks a little bit, and then the rest breaks further into labor.
Yesterday I had a strong BH contraction and I felt almost a "squirt" of warm fluid. Then today, my pants have been damp almost all day to the point that I changed. Anytime I've had a BH contraction today, I'm feeling this little squirt/gush of fluid. It has probably happened 10 times. It is not continuous, I wouldn't say that I could "soak" a pad, and the fluid does not smell.
Should I be calling my OB or have any of you leaked discharge and urine with BH contractions?

I would be. Go in and get checked out - worst case you’re peeing yourself and you know it’s just that vs risking an infection from having your water having broken.

I could definitely see the possibility of it being urine or discharge, although this has never happened to me, but honestly I’d still call and go get it checked out just to be safe. Some women definitely slow leak amniotic fluid and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I think worth calling to get checked. It’s not your first rodeo and they’ll likely take it seriously and make sure you’re in good shape.

Definitely get that checked out. Better safe than sorry, and they literally just have to do a q-tip dip to find out the answer

I recommend going in. I had a pin needle leak with my waters after I fell with my first. Similar to you it was a constant dampness/leaking but never soaked the pad. I didn't think much of it. Baby was born the next day.

Thanks for checking in. It has been a whirlwind. I went to the OB this morning and, yes, I am leaking fluid. I am in shock. It is a small leak, thankfully, but the BH contractions were apparently not BH because I am 4 centimeters, 80% effaced and -2 station. So it appears that I am in the hospital until delivery which will hopefully be no earlier than 34 weeks (but that is 2.5 weeks away for me). I have had one steroid shot so far for the baby's lungs, receiving antibiotics for the leak, and also received an injection to stop the contractions, which is so far working!
My positive is that our local hospital is equipped to deal with all of this so my children will be able to visit me every day :(

@expectingmomma0,
Just here to say, going through the same thing as you! I’ve been living in the hospital for a week now since my water broke. Got steroid shots, antibiotics, and just waiting! Hoping I make it to my scheduled c section on September 8 at 34 weeks!! Good luck to you!!✨
