The core cast of heroes in Big Hero 6 develops their super-personas using breakthroughs from their own scientific experiments, and the outcomes reflect their personal interests. These are used to great effect in the fight against Yokai and often combine for larger impact.

The "powers" in this case refer to a character's capabilities when they are in their superhero suits (and how effective they are in battle) rather than their intelligence in day-to-day life. These powers are ranked by how they appear in the Big Hero 6 movie, not taking into account any developments in Big Hero 6: The Series.

8 Tadashi Hamada

Tadashi Hamada is crucial to the plot of Big Hero 6, and his scenes with Hiro show the pair's strong sibling bond, but he never has his own superhero suit.

Before his untimely and tragic death, Tadashi unknowingly set his brother and college friends on the path towards becoming heroes when he created one of the best robot characters in movie history, Baymax, showing his own ingenuity and immense talent. Even so, Tadashi sadly never had the opportunity to explore the extent of his creation's abilities.

7 Hiro Hamada

If there's one Disney cliché fans will always love it's the underdog protagonist, and Hiro Hamada fits perfectly into this category at the start of Big Hero 6.

Though Hiro's inventions empower not only Baymax but also the villainous Yokai, proving his technical prowess, his own supersuit acts more as a way for him to connect with his partner Baymax than to fight on his own. The magnetic pads that let Hiro hold onto Baymax can be used to either attract or deflect other metallic objects, but this is not their main purpose.

6 Fred

In stark contrast to the other members of his team, Fred is not a student of science but an admirer of the subject and how it relates to science fiction.

Fred directs this love into his supersuit, one of Big Hero 6's best costumes, which resembles both a kaiju and his school mascot uniform. When in the suit, Fred has claws that can be used in attacks, as well as the use of a flamethrower that appears to fire from the suit's "mouth." He also gains the ability to jump supremely high, allowing him to cross more ground with ease.

5 Go Go Tomago

Given her team's origins in Marvel Comics, it seems only natural that fans are considering how heroes like Go Go could potentially be introduced to the MCU. While at this stage such a crossover is unlikely, Go Go's powers would work well in the franchise.

With focus given to speed and a streamlined look, Go Go's supersuit has electromagnetic wheels that allow her to move incredibly fast. These disc-like wheels can also be used as projectiles, further enhancing Go Go's fighting range, and will return to the suit after hitting a target because of their magnetism, adding even more speed to maneuvers.

4 Wasabi

Wasabi's powers in Big Hero 6 combine his project (focused on laser-induced plasma) with his own athletic abilities for tremendous results.

Wasabi's scientific creation leads to a supersuit that houses two plasma blades in its forearm pieces. These immensely sharp blades can be used to slice through almost any material and work alongside Wasabi's own agility to grant him powerful reflexes, which he used in the final battle against Yokai with much success.

3 Robert Callaghan / Yokai

Robert Callaghan, also known as Yokai in his masked form, was a Disney villain who could have been a hero if he'd handled the devastation of losing his daughter with more rationale.

As it stands though, Callaghan's reckless actions led to Tadashi's death, and his one-track desire for revenge made him steal the Microbots created by Hiro. With this invention, Callaghan had great power, using the Microbots as a weapon to strike his foes, crush things in his path, and transport him through rough terrain, making him a formidable foe for the Big Hero 6 team.

2 Honey Lemon

Honey Lemon's bright fashion style is reflected in her heroic outfit and powers, which are contained within her chem-purse.

The chem-purse is a portable laboratory with a periodic table shown on the side, which Honey Lemon uses in battle to assemble chemical formulas. These formulas are then processed into chem-balls and can be thrown at enemies with a variety of outcomes depending on their makeup. This versatility makes Honey Lemon's powers useful in arguably the widest range of circ*mstances when compared to her teammates.

1 Baymax

Baymax's original design by Tadashi, conceiving of him as a healthcare assistant robot, gave the character plenty of powers, and these were later heightened by Hiro's own modifications.

In addition to the immense strength and durability that Tadashi granted Baymax, he gained the power of flight through Hiro's battle suit design, as well as highly powerful rocket fists that detach from his arms. Baymax's ability to scan his surroundings was also improved, and Hiro's move to download fighting videos gave the robot proficiency in martial arts. The designs of the two Hamada brothers combined make Baymax a very capable being, in battle and in giving care.
